A big trend for Fall 2018 is wide leg pants, and I’m here for it! They are great for elongating and can be dressed up, or worn more causal. REISS is a new brand to me and I love discovering brands with great style and quality pieces. I found these gorgeous pinky-rose colored wide leg pants and it paired perfectly with this white knit top. They have a ton of great dresses, tops, and pants with flattering silhouettes! Today I’m sharing 5 tips for styling wide leg pants this season!
Tucked in blouse
Since wide leg pants having a lot of volume, I tend to keep my tops shorter or tucked in. Tucking your blouse in will help create a waist and elegant silhouette. I love this option especially with a fun printed blouse such a this one!
Crop Top For A Night Out
A lot of wide leg pants are high waisted and these will pair perfectly with a crop top for a night out on the town. This is a perfect girls night out look of for those of us in warmer climates where fall might be a little behind!
Fitted Sweaters
Sweaters are a great way to stay warm and when choosing a sweater for wide leg pants, try to stick with a more fitted silhouette. There is already a lot of volume with the pants, and you don’t want to get swallowed up with a bulky sweater. This ribbed v-neck sweater would be perfect with these navy trousers.
Heels to Elongate
If you want to prevent wide legs pants from overpowering you, I definitely recommend heels – especially if you have a smaller frame. A pointed toe heel will also give an elongated look.
Tip: make sure the pants aren’t pooling on the floor. This will make you appear shorter than you are, so having the length tailored is a great way to ensure a perfect fit! REISS also offers tailoring service which makes it super easy if you are purchasing in-store! Check out a map of their locations here! I am heading to Chicago next week and definitely want to stop in the store there!
Cami and Blazer – from Work to Play
A pretty and delicate cami is a classic staple, and can be worn with a blazer for an office appropriate look. Heading out for drinks after work? Take off the blazer and you have a chic ensemble! I love this black camisole and these camel colored trousers!
